A 21-year-old Fort St. James man accused with the murder of three women and one teenage girl appeared in court in Prince George on Oct. 31.

Cody Alan Legebokoff was initially charged with the first degree murder of 15-year-old NVSS student Loren Donn Leslie after her body was discovered Saturday, November 27, 2010 off an unused logging road between Vanderhoof and Fort St. James.

Legebokoff was arrested later that night.

The three latest murder charges relate to the unsolved Prince George murder cases of Jill Stacey Stuchenko, 35, Cynthia Frances Maas, 35 and Natasha Lynn Montgomery, 23.

The Crown confirmed that Legebokoff’s case will go straight to trial, without a preliminary hearing.

His next court date was scheduled for Nov. 9, but because the case will be proceeding as a jury trial, a publication ban will now take effect on proceedings which take place without the jury present.
