Volunteers from the Abbotsford Liberal campaign office on Montrose Avenue arrived to work on Saturday morning and were shocked to find a smashed plate glass window.

On Friday evening the team for Abbotsford Liberal candidate Madeleine Hardin hosted a party to officially open their campaign office. It was attended by approximately 60 people, and they were at the office until about 11 p.m.

Sometime between the end of the party and 8:30 a.m. on Saturday morning, the front window was smashed. Police speculate a bat or pipe was used. The culprit was not seen by a security camera.  There was no vandalism to other buildings in the area that evening.

“Obviously, I’m saddened that someone purposely smashed our window,” said Hardin in a press release. “The Abbotsford Police Department responded to our call quickly and is currently investigating.”
