Live streaming set to go in Ladysmith council

Coming to you the first and third Monday of each month, starting July 18

Coming to you the first and third Monday of each month, starting July 18: Ladysmith Council live streamed.

Mayor Aaron Stone announced at the July 4 meeting that the long awaited launch of live streamed coverage will be available for the next council meeting.

“Our next council meeting should be broadcast live, and archived, and on YouTube,” he said at the 7 p.m. start of the meeting.

Council first made known its intention to go live in January.

Other municipalities, like North Cowichan, already live stream council meetings. As well as allowing people to watch the action remotely, the archived meetings are always available for people who want to review decisions.
