Excessive speed

On Nov. 27, 100 Mile House RCMP was conducting speed enforcement on Highway 97 at the 99

Mile hill.

A pick-up truck was observed being operated at a high rate of speed in the 50 km/h zone. The vehicle was confirmed as being operated at 54 km/h over the posted speed limit.

The vehicle was pulled over and the driver was identified. The driver did not have valid insurance on his vehicle.

The vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days and the driver was issued tickets for no insurance and excessive speed.

Left accident scene

108 Mile Ranch.

The driver of a burgundy pick-up drove through a stop sign at the intersection of Kallum Drive and Easzee Drive. The vehicle came to rest on the support wire for a telephone pole.

The driver left the scene but was located a short time later at his residence. The driver was subsequently issued a violation ticket for failing to stop at a stop sign.

Without due care

On Nov. 25, 100 Mile RCMP responded to a report of a collision between two pick-up trucks

on Highway 97 just south of Lac la Hache.

The driver of the first pick-up, a blue Ford Ranger, was stopped in traffic attempting to turn left into a driveway. Her vehicle was struck by the driver of another pick-up truck following her in the north-bound lane.

The impact caused both trucks to enter the ditch. There were no injuries reported.

Slippery roads

On Nov. 24, 100 Mile RCMP responded to a report of a single-vehicle incident on Horse Lake

Road just outside of 100 Mile House.

She suffered only minor scrapes and declined to go to hospital. Her vehicle was towed out of the ditch. Deteriorating road and weather conditions contributed to this collision.
