Around 170 people of all ages participated in a A First Nations Rising rally held April 20 in Williams Lake to protest Taseko Mines Ltd.’s proposed New Prosperity Mine project in the Chilcotin. Participants marched peacefully through downtown, ending up at Boitanio Park to hear speeches and watch youth performances.
