No one was seriously injured when a truck left Yale Road and landed in a ditch by Hillcrest Drive in Chilliwack Wednesday.
A dog was loose in the cab of the truck when it jumped onto the driver’s lap while two people were travelling eastbound shortly after 1 p.m., according to a firefighter on scene.
The driver of the Chevy truck lost control of the vehicle and struck a road sign before landing in the ditch.
The two were tended to by firefighters and RCMP at the scene.
The eastbound lane of Yale Road was temporarily blocked as a result.
