The Ladysmith Resources Centre will host a complimentary luncheon Tuesday, October 1 to celebrate National Seniors Day.
The event is free for seniors aged 55-plus and is intended to “acknowledge and thank seniors for their past and present contributions to their families, community, workforce and society.”
The event will be hosted on the second floor of the Ladysmith Resources Centre from 11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Food and refreshments will be followed by a presentation on issues impacting Ladysmith seniors, said Sharen Newton, coordinator of the seniors’ office at the LRCA, with priority being given to poverty, housing, food and health.
Seating is limited to 100 seniors, Newton said, and reservations are necessary.
Reservations can be made by calling the LRCA at 250-245-3079.
