Maggie Hall catches winning fish in Kitimat Derby weekend

The results are in from the 2020 Kitimat Fishing Derby, which took place on the Saturday and Sunday of the Labour Day weekend.

Size: 11 pounds 14 7/8 ounces

Men’s Largest Coho prize (sponsored by Sandhill Materials)

Name: Paul Lloyd

Size:11 pounds 12 3/8 ounces

Women’s Largest Coho (sponsored by Bradley’s Bait and Tackle)

Name: Maggie Hall

Size: 11 pounds 14 7/8 ounces

Youth Largest Coho (sponsored by Ron’s Mobile Fishing Tackle and Bait Shop)

Name: Jude Mansbridge

Size: 11 pounds 5 ¼ ounces

Finley Prize Winner (Youngest Female to hook, land, and weigh in a Coho, sponsored by Hazelwood Construction Services)

Name: Natalie Travis

Size: 10 pounds 2 1/8 ounces

Several community members were also winners for the Master Prizes, which included a three-person drift on the Kitimat River, an ocean charter for four people, a four-person helicopter glacier tour, and a slackline course. These winners were Myles Pedro, Taylor Lundbek, Kelly Houston, Mathias Luis, Weston Travis, and Mya Oike.
