Everyone got out safely when a fire started to consume the roof of a building on Main Street Monday morning.
Firefighters were called out at about 7:30 a.m. to the fire near First Avenue. Telkwa Fire and Rescue was called in to assist.
The building is owned by sisters Jessica and Ella Butz houses their Mainerz and Back Alley Boots and Shoes stores, the Sedaz Lingerie store, and seven apartments.
Police are blocking traffic around the intersection.
