Vernon motorists are being advised of a change in traffic patterns.
Beginning Monday and continuing into the fall, Pleasant Valley Road construction from 41st to 48th avenues will commence. It will include road reconstruction, new water main, replacement of storm and sanitary sewer piping, and new sidewalk.
“Phase one on 41st Avenue to 16th Street is planned to start Monday and will take about 12 weeks to complete,” said Tanya Laing Gahr, the city’s communications co-ordinator.
“Phase two from 16th Street to 48th Avenue will last about eight weeks. The active construction area on Pleasant Valley Road will be closed to through-traffic but open to local residents and business traffic. Detours will be in effect for the duration of construction.”
Businesses along the construction route will be open and accessible.
