Make New Year’s resolutions you can keep

Workshop aims to help people follow through with their goals

Every new year brings a new beginning with it a clean slate.

People make resolutions and set goals they want to pursue throughout the year, but many of us find following through on them are challenging and give up at some point.

That’s where the Unleash Yourself 2020 and Beyond workshop comes in.

The course pairs in-depth planning and goal-setting with a practical exploration into what holds us back from achieving our goals.

Throughout the workshop, attendees will go through mapping out clear goals and put together a structured plan to see them through.

Workshop organizer Amal Alhuwayshil said the class will also help attendees shift personal barriers that hold them back from their goals.

“We don’t want to just create broad intentions for the next year, we want to focus on building tools and resources that will help people make small intentional shifts towards sustainable and lasting change,” Alhuwayshil said.

She added each attendee will receive help with assessing their 2020 and long-term goals, prioritization tools based on a breakdown of each goal, a SMART plan to help them, and actionable strategies for getting back on track after a setback among other things.

Unleash Yourself 2020 and Beyond will be held on Jan. 11 at the Okanagan CoLab. The workshop will include snacks, drinks, and an exclusive 2020 Strategic Planning Toolkit.

To buy tickets and find out more details, you can check out the workshop’s Eventbrite or Facebook page.
