A man and three children were treated for pepper spray injuries after an altercation in a quiet Newton neighbourhood this week.
On Tuesday, at about 8 p.m. a man was walking with his son in the 7700-block of 125 Street when a black Range Rover sped by.
The man yelled for the driver to slow down. The vehicle stopped and three people got out.
A verbal altercation ensued, and eventually the three got back in the SUV and drove away.
It returned, stopped near the man and his son, and someone in the vehicle pepper sprayed the man.
The spray also hit his son and two other children who were playing in a nearby park.
The people hit with the spray were treated for their injuries at the scene.
Police believe they know the owner of the vehicle and will be contacting him shortly.
