Man, 32, dead after stabbing in East Vancouver: Police

The man died before he could be taken to hospital

A 32-year-old man is dead after an overnight stabbing in East Vancouver Wednesday (June 5).

Vancouver police were called just before 3:30 a.m. for reports of a man in medical distress on Union Street, just east of Main Street. Police say that first responders then found a man who had been stabbed.

He died before he could be taken to hospital.

Vancouver police say no arrests have been made, but investigators from the department’s forensic identification unit and major crime section will be working in the area throughout the day to collect evidence.

Police are looking to speak with witnesses or anyone with dash-cam video that was near Main and Union streets between midnight and 3:30 p.m. They are asked to call Vancouver police’s homicide unit at 604-717-2500.
