A 52-year-old man was struck by an eastbound car while crossing Lougheed Highway near 204th Street on Sunday around 8:15 p.m.
The man was airlifted to hospital, where he died a shortly after, according to RCMP
The driver of the car is cooperating with police. The victim was pushing a shopping cart across the highway and was not in a crosswalk.
The weather was rainy and it was dark at the time of the incident.
