Comox Valley RCMP have one man in custody after an armed robbery late Tuesday night.Shortly after 11:30 p.m. May 1, RCMP responded to a holdup alarm at the Supreme Convenience store located on Dunsmuir Road in Cumberland.The suspect is reported to have put a gun to the throat of a female employee while demanding money.The man then departed with an undisclosed amount of money prior to the police’s arrival.About an hour later, RCMP located and arrested a Cumberland man for the robbery.The man remains in custody at this time and will appear before a Justice of the Peace.The investigation is continuing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Comox Valley RCMP at 250-338-1321.
