Man assaulted at Armstrong pub

Police take two suspects into custody as part of investigation

A man is recovering from serious injuries sustained at an Armstrong drinking establishment Thursday.

RCMP received reports at about 8:45 p.m. that a 40-year-old Armstrong man had been assaulted at the Branding Iron Pub.

“He was badly beaten up,” said Cpl. Todd Bowden.

With assistance from a resident, officers were able to track down two Armstrong men.

“It’s not clear if they knew each other,” said Bowden of the suspects and the victim.

The suspects — 43-years-old and 50-years-old — were expected to appear in court Friday.
