Abbotsford Police are investigating an incident on Christmas night in which a 70-year-old man stumbled into a local business and was bleeding from a wound on his neck.

Const. Ian MacDonald said the man entered the Shoppers Drug Mart in the 32000 block of Trethewey Street at about 11:45 last night. Alarmed staff called 911.

Abbotsford Fire Rescue Service and BC Ambulance attended at the scene, and the man was taken to hospital.

Police cordoned off the parking lot and store while they investigated.

The man was not sure how he was hurt, MacDonald said.

He said police are canvassing witnesses and will be looking at surveillance video to determine exactly what happened.
