Man caught peeing on pub patio

TERRACE RCMP say he damaged building when asked to leave.

TERRACE RCMP responded to approximately 142 calls for service from August 30, 8 a.m. till September 3rd, 8 a.m.

During the same time period, there were 19 people lodged in Terrace Cells – 15 of these people were lodged for public intoxication.

Here are some of the calls responded to:

A bike was stolen from a yard on Kerby St. Just prior to this report, police received a call of a found bike at a residence on River Dr. From descriptions provided, police determined the bikes were the same and arrangements were made to return the bike to its owner.

Break and enter to a basement suite on Park Ave. An XBox 360 memory, Xbox 360 controller, a winning scratch and win lottery ticket, and a box of condoms were stolen. Police identified the suspect and the items were returned to the rightful owner.

A group of people being loud, drinking, and driving quads at the Exstew Forestry Site. Police attended and spoke with a group of youth camping in the site.

Police observed three men having a disagreement on the front lawn of a residence on Sparks St. Upon approach, police heard the property owner yelling at the men to remove themselves and their boots from her front yard. Two of the men approached the police officer and were belligerent, name calling, and posturing to fight. A second officer attended and two men ages 20 and 22 were arrested.

A BMX Diamondback Grind bike was stolen.

Loss Prevention Officer of Walmart arrested a 13-year-old boy for shoplifting. He is banned from the store.

A black dog on the loose on Hwy 16/Clark St. Police located a black Rottweiler without any identification and transported it to the Terrace Animal Shelter.

Intoxicated 17-year-old girl causing problems inside of a vehicle. The vehicle had to pull over and the girl was assaulting those inside. Police attended to Halliwell Ave./Thomas St. and arrested the girl for public intoxication.

Police were pulled over on Clark St./Hwy 16 on another matter when a vehicle pulled up beside them. A woman approached police and stated that she had just been assaulted repeatedly by her boyfriend who was sitting in the vehicle. Police arrested the 35-year-old man for assault. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.

A black 1998 Chevrolet truck was pulled over in the Northern Motor Inn Parking Lot. The 19-year-old driver had a Class 7 license. He provided a sample of breath into a Roadside Screening Device that resulted in a warn. He was served an Immediate Roadside Prohibition and the vehicle he was driving was impounded.

A man was urinating in the patio of the pub of the Northern Motor Inn. When he was asked to leave, he became angry and kicked in a portion of the door outside of the Inn. A bottom panel of glass was broken. Under investigation.

Police observed a man by the Terrace Community Skate Park. Checks determined that there was a warrant for his arrest out of Kitimat. The 26-year-old man was arrested and held for court.

A group of youth yelling and screaming in a park on Cramer St. Police spoke with group and they dispersed.

Large fight involving multiple people outside of the curling club. Police detained a couple of men ages 24 and 24 who were noted to be the aggressors and obtained their details. The same men were arrested a short time later on a second call.

A southbound white Ford F350 was pulled over for going 125 km/hr in a 80 km/hr zone near Rosswood. The vehicle was impounded for excessive speed.

Hit and run to a white 2006 Chrysler by a Winnebago at the White Bottom Forest Service Site. Under investigation. There was substantial damage to the Chrysler.

A man and his wife were assaulted by a man in the George Little Park. The man was riding a bike and was yelling at the man and his wife. The wife told the man to quiet down. He grabbed her and pushed her to the ground. He then pushed the husband to the ground against a cement barrier. The husband attempted to get up but the man pushed him to the ground again. Witnesses identified a 40-year-old man as the suspect. Under investigation.

An intoxicated man crashed his bike on Sparks St./Davis Ave., suffering minor injuries. Emergency Health Services requested police assistance with the man. Police arrested the 62-year-old man for public intoxication.

Domestic assault. A 28-year-old man was arrested for assault. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.

Intoxicated woman attempting to throw herself from the Kitsumkalum Bridge. Police located the woman under the bridge in a highly emotional and irrational state. She was apprehended under the Mental Health Act and transported to Mills Memorial Hospital for assessment.

A red 1999 Ford Ranger and a brown 2007 Ford Econoline Camper crashed on Greig Ave./Sande Overpass. Minor damage to both vehicles. No injuries.

A black 2006 Honda motorcycle was pulled over for going 150 km/hr on Hwy 16 at the 110 km mark. The motorcycle was impounded for excessive speed.
