Man facing multiple fraud charges in Courtenay

A 24-year-old man will appear in a Courtenay courtroom April 3, facing multiple charges relating to the fraudulent use of a debit card.

A 24-year-old man will appear in a Courtenay courtroom April 3, facing multiple criminal charges relating to the fraudulent use of a debit card.

The Comox Valley RCMP commenced an investigation into a commercial break and enter Feb. 17 following a report from a Cumberland-based construction company that their office had been broken into.

During the initial report, the company’s owner believed that the only missing items were a computer and backup hard drive.

On March 4, the owner of the business reported an additional stolen item had been identified, a company debit card. Further investigation revealed that over $30,000 in fraudulent transactions had occurred with the stolen card.

Carson Roy Graham was identified as a suspect in these fraudulent transactions, and was arrested March 28.
