Terrace RCMP responded to approximately 132 calls for service from March 18th, 8 a.m. till March 22nd, 8 a.m.
During the same time period, 19 people were lodged in Terrace cells – nine of these people were lodged for intoxication.
Here are some of the calls responded to:
A black wallet with a cat face on it containing various cards and ID was lost near the Husky on March 8th.
A white 2008 Chevrolet Colorado truck was pulled over on Keith Ave. The 68-year-old driver provided a sample of breath into a roadside screening device that resulted in a warn. He was issued an Immediate Roadside Prohibition.
A red 2001 Jeep Cherokee was pulled over on Substation Rd. The 26-year-old driver provided samples of breath into a roadside screening device that resulted in warns. He was issued an Immediate Roadside Prohibition.
A green 2003 Ford F-350 was pulled over on Thornhill Frontage Rd./Clark St. The 38-year-old driver failed to provide a sample of breath into a roadside screening device. He was issued an Immediate Roadside Prohibition and the vehicle he was driving was impounded.
A man fled from police when he was detained for an investigation. He was located a short distance away hiding from police in a shed on Sparks St. and arrested. Charge of obstruction is being forwarded to Crown Counsel.
Theft of a bag from an unlocked vehicle parked on Loen Ave. The bag contained golf balls, makeup, and clothing. One item of clothing is described as a tight fitting royal blue Adidas zip up sweatshirt with a polar bear eating a hockey stick and the word Poelzer on it.
Hit and run. A gold Pontiac Montana backed into a grey Chevrolet Monte Carlo parked in the Skeena Mall parking lot on March 19th.
Checks were conducted on an intoxicated 30-year-old man in a restaurant on Lakelse Ave. It was determined that he was in breach of a probation condition of not to be under the influence of alcohol within city limits. The man was arrested and held for court.
Familial dispute. A woman suffered minor injuries. A woman and a man were both arrested. Charges of assault are being forwarded to Crown Counsel on the woman that was arrested.
Sexual assault investigation.
An intoxicated man causing a disturbance at the Terrace Library. Checks determined that the man was in breach of Probation and Undertaking conditions of not to consume or be under the influence of alcohol outside of place of residence. Police arrested the 36-year-old man. He uttered threats to cause death to an employee and family. He is held for court.
A black 2009 GMC Sierra truck stopped at a stop sign at Kalum St./Haugland Ave. then reversed into a grey 2008 Ford Focus that was stopped behind him. The driver did not have a driver’s licence. No injuries. Both vehicles were damaged.
Assault and uttering threats in a roommate dispute. Under investigation.
Assist Mills Memorial Hospital with a violent patient. A police officer was bitten while assisting. No injuries.
Police apprehended a youth under the Mental Health Act and transported the youth to Mills Memorial Hospital.
A Toyota Corolla sustained a large dent in the hood while it was parked at the Wholesale Club on March 21st.
Shoplifter at Save On Foods. The person is banned from the store. The product was returned.
A black 2000 Volkswagen Jetta crashed into a cement barricade in George Little Park. Police located the occupants and driver of the vehicle at Mills Memorial Hospital suffering from minor injuries. The vehicle was towed. Alcohol is suspected to be a factor.
Police assisted a motel in evicting intoxicated occupants out of a room.
A man passed out at the end of a driveway on Tuck Ave. He was transported to Mills Memorial Hospital due to his level of intoxication. Checks determined that he is in breach of condition of not to consume alcohol. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.
Familial dispute. A man was transported to Mills Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries received.
