Man pleads guilty to two Abbotsford robberies

A man has pleaded guilty to three charges related to two back-to-back robberies in Abbotsford in 2013.

Kerry Paul Morin, 27, robbed the two businesses the Red Apple Food Store on Marshall Road and an Esso convenience store on Huntingdon Road within an hour of each other on Oct. 22, 2013.

After the robberies, police released both a photo of him and a video, and asked for the public’s help in identifying him.

Morin was arrested a month later while walking in the 9500 block of 199A Street in Langley.

He pleaded guilty in Abbotsford provincial court to two counts of robbery and one count of using an imitation firearm, and is scheduled for a sentencing hearing on Oct. 21.
