A man who dove off a Beaver Creek bridge on Friday is presumed drowned, according to Golden RCMP.
Police believe that the 26-year-old man dove off the bridge around 3:30 p.m. The RCMP, Golden search and rescue began a search with two boats and a dog in and around Beaver Creek and Kinbasket Lake.
According to the RCMP, the search was suspended in the evening and was due to resume Saturday. The E Division underwater recovery team is due to arrive in the coming days. The man’s name has not yet been released but police have contacted his friends and family.
