A suspect is at large following a late-night stabbing in Abbotsford that sent one man to hospital.
Two men were standing outside around 12:15 a.m. last night when they saw a man they believed was trying to break into cars on Landeau Place in central Abbotsford, Const. Ian MacDonald said.
The 32-year-old man confronted the individual and a scuffle ensued, in which the victim suffered three puncture wounds, MacDonald said.
He was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries, he said.
Police flooded the area with patrol cars and a canine unit but were unable to locate the suspect, who was described as a caucasian male, wearing a hoodie and dark clothing, MacDonald said.
