Man stabbed during dispute with relative

Motor vehicle accident:

 A driver rear-ended a vehicle stopped at the lights on the Trans Canada Highway at the airport on March 18.

Upon arrival, police determined the woman was intoxicated.

Charges were laid under the new impaired driving legislation and her vehicle was impounded.

 Three people were taken to hospital  after a pickup truck rolled over on Adshead Road on  March 20.

The 18-year-old driver was believed to have lost control after leaving a nearby party.

One passenger was ejected from the sunroof and another was pinned underneath the vehicle.

All three occupants were not wearing seatbelts.

The driver and one passenger were released from hospital and the other passenger was admitted and deemed to be in stable condition.

Various Traffic units and the Island Crash Team were brought in to assist in the investigation.

The driver is facing impaired driving charges.

Assault:

A man was stabbed by a relative during a fight on the Stz’uminus reserve on March 19.

The victim received superficial cuts to his arm and the offender was arrested without incident.

The offender was taken to hospital for a psychiatric evaluation after the incident.
