A man is in hospital after being stabbed several times in the parking lot of a Bridgeview fast food restaurant on Wednesday evening.
At just after 6 p.m. a 22-year-old Surrey man was meeting his girlfriend at a McDonald’s in the 11000-block of 120 Street, when two to three Asian men approached.
One of the group was carrying a baseball bat, and another was armed with a knife.
The Surrey man was knocked to the ground, beaten and stabbed several times.
He was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Surrey RCMP Cpl. Bert Paquet said Mounties believe it to be a targeted incident.
Police are trying to figure out what role, if any, the woman played in the attack.
