A man was stabbed twice in the arm Thursday when a social gathering went awry.
“Some form of argument took place then it turned violent with one of the males assaulting a 44-year-old victim with a knife, resulting in two superficial stab wounds to his arm,” said Victoria police Const. Mike Russell.
Three men were drinking together in an apartment in the 200-block of Gorge Road East when the argument erupted at about 6 p.m.
Police were called, but the assailant fled the area and couldn’t be tracked. No weapon was found.
The 44-year-old man is co-operating with police and the third man, the tenant of the apartment, has been semi-co-operative. Investigators have a suspect in mind, but by Friday morning, hadn’t made an arrest.
All three men are known to police from previous incidents.
