Man uses scissors to rob Maple Ridge gas station

Ridge Meadows RCMP are looking for a man who used scissors to rob a gas station Saturday morning.

Around 10:30 a.m. Saturday, a lone male suspect entered the Shell gas station in the 20300 block of Lougheed Highway.

He demanded money and cigarettes, and threatened the store employee with a pair of scissors,” said Sgt. Brenda Gresiuk.

The suspect fled the store with an undisclosed amount of money and cigarettes and was last seen driving south on 203 Street in a black Dodge Ram pickup.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, approximately 6’0”, with a medium build, clean shaven, and short red hair.  He was wearing a black baseball hat, sunglasses, black jacket, black jeans, and grey running shoes.

The pickup truck had a black tonneau cover over the rear box of the pickup.
