A man’s body has been discovered in downtown Abbotsford.

On Monday morning, at about 1:45 a.m. a man and a woman were walking through a parking lot in the 2500 block of West Railway Street when they stumbled upon the deceased man.

The woman believes that she had a brief conversation with this person in the area of South Fraser Way and Montvue Avenue a few hours earlier.

Abbotsford Police and the coroner are investigating the incident that does not appear to involve foul play.  At this point the identity of the deceased is not known.

He is described as a Caucasian male, 30-40 years of age, balding with light coloured, short shaved hair.  He is approximately 6’3” tall with a medium build.  He was wearing a white tank top, blue jeans, black leather belt, grey “boat” style shoes and a blue hoody was located close by.

The man has a tattoo of a cross on his left shoulder and six characters/symbols on his right forearm.

Anyone with information about the incident or who knows the identity of the deceased man is asked to contact Abbotsford Police at 604-859-5225 or text us at 222973 (abbypd).
