Teen was taken to B.C. Childrens' Hospital in Vancouver, is doing OK.

An air ambulance was called in to east Maple Ridge Saturday after a teenager was kicked in the face by a horse.

The teen was taken to B.C. Children’s Hospital for examination but seems to be doing OK, Ridge Meadows RCMP said Monday.

The accident took place around 248th Street at about 2 p.m. and the air ambulance helicopter picked her up at Garibaldi secondary nearby.
