McLeod plans to highlight region for Canada 150

#MPMcLeod150 was launched on Monday, February 27, by MP Cathy McLeod

Ottawa – Cathy McLeod, Member of Parliament for Kamloops – Thompson – Cariboo, launched her Canada 150 plan in Kamloops last Monday.

“As the Member of Parliament for Kamloops – Thompson – Cariboo, it is a distinct honour to serve in Parliament during this once-in-a-generation occasion. To this end, I have decided to feature and share the distinctive aspects our riding has to offer with the rest of Canada,” said McLeod.

“My goal is to highlight 50 people, 50 places and 50 events, giving people the #MPMcLeod150 experience. From paddling the Thompson River to celebrating the 150th Clinton Annual Ball, my objective is to shine a light on our unique riding,” stated McLeod.

“I invite anyone with a suggestion on who, where or what I should feature to email or contact my office, and I’ll gladly consider adding it to my plan. Please follow my journey on my website, my Facebook page or at #MPMcLeod150,” said McLeod

“I encourage everyone to join me in commemorating Canada’s sesquicentennial and the distinctiveness of our region,” concluded McLeod.
