Caring about companion animals, and recognising that there are times when owners find themselves hard-pressed to buy food for their pets, is what motivated Barriere resident Petra Migl to contact local animal advocate Elli Kohnert last month.
In the spirit of the season, Migl offered to collect pet food donations from her work place in Kamloops; ‘Work Search’ employs 30 people on staff, and they readily agreed to help out.
On Dec. 15, Migl and her husband, plus the Migl’s two dogs called Jake and Nanook, delivered a car load of pet food to Kohnert.
“It was greatly appreciated,” said Kohnert, “Already several area pet owners and their animals have experienced the benefits of this generous donation. Thank you to everyone at Work Search from the animals in the Barriere area.”
