Three men were beaten up for their beer in the wee hours of last Saturday morning in Terrace.

According to an RCMP press release, the three men and a woman were walking home from the bar carrying two cases of beer with them when a man approached them and asked for their beer on May 12 at about 2:30 a.m.

After refusing, the man described as in his mid 20s, caucasian, and clean shaven with short brown hair proceeded to beat the men until they were unconscious. He was wearing white t-shirt and jeans, said the release.

The woman was not injured, and it’s possible the men were beaten with a skateboard, said Cst. Angela Rabut of the Terrace RCMP.

Police were called after the men had made it to the hospital, roughly one hour after the attack she added.

They were transported there by a family member who called RCMP, she said.

The attack is thought to have taken place either on Sparks St. or the 4600 block of Haugland Ave.

“The facts are foggy because everyone was intoxicated,” said Rabut. “We’re seeking public help in this because we need more information.”

Those with information are encouraged to call Cst. Rick Mcrae of the Terrace RCMP at (250) 638-7429 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS. A tip can also be left at www.bccrimestoppers.com
