A plane crash in 100 Mile House on June 9 left its three occupants and several people on the ground lucky to be alive.

Witnesses say the Cessna 172 aircraft clipped power lines after takeoff around 3:45 p.m., and then smashed through the Blue Sky Restaurant sign, lost a wing, crash landed into the parking lot and skidded across the lot into a building and a small pickup truck.

The pilot and a male and a female passenger were taken to hospital for treatment of minor injuries and released.
