Missing Esquimalt man prompts Victoria police plea

Thomas Stewart, 50, hasn't been seen since Aug. 21; had plans to go up-Island to clear land

Victoria police are looking for Esquimalt resident Thomas Stewart, 50, has not been seen since Aug. 21.

Victoria police are looking for Esquimalt resident Thomas Stewart, 50, has not been seen since Aug. 21.

A concerned Esquimalt family and the Victoria Police Department are asking for public assistance in finding a missing man.

Thomas Stewart, 50, was last in touch with his family Aug. 21. He has not been seen or heard from since. Stewart is five-foot-nine, weights 190 pounds, and has greying brown hair and blue eyes. He keeps a beard and has longer hair.

Thomas’ family indicated he was heading up-Island to do some work clearing land. Anyone with information on Stewart’s whereabouts is asked to call CrimeStoppers or the VicPD non-emergency line at (250) 995-7654.
