The search for a man near Lumby is over.
RCMP report that an individual visiting his cabin along Mabel Lake Friday discovered the body of Bruce Van Hasstrecht.
The 57-year-old Albertan went missing from a property in the 3500 block of Mabel Lake Road April 1.
At the time, it was believed he may have entered the lake and there was an extensive search of the water by divers and sonar equipment.
The RCMP and coroners service attended the scene Friday and it’s been determined that foul play was not involved.
The matter has now been turned over to the B.C. Coroners Service.
