Missing Williams Lake man believed to be en route to Abbotsford

Police say Richard Pop purchased a Greyhound bus ticket.

A man missing from the Williams Lake area purchased a Greyhound bus ticket to Abbotsford, according to RCMP.

On Friday morning, Williams Lake RCMP put out a press release seeking the public’s assistance in locating Richard (Ricter) Pop.

“We’ve been in contact with the Abbotsford Police to see if they can locate him,” Const. K. Neufeld said Friday afternoon.

“Mr. Pop is a street person and doesn’t have a residence. The Abbotsford Police will be keeping an eye out for him.”

Pop is described as First Nations, 50 years old, six feet tall and weighing 190 pounds.

Pop was last seen wearing black jeans and a black Nenqayni jacket with a red liner.

Anyone with knowledge of Pop’s whereabouts is asked to contact Neufeld at the Williams Lake RCMP, 250-392-6211.
