According to a Mission RCMP press release, during the months of October 2015 and March 2016, Steven Peter Klassen broke into several of Mission’s commercial businesses.
On Oct. 13, 2017 Klassen was sentenced to 42 months, less five days after pleading guilty to five counts of commercial break-and-enter.
He will remain in custody to serve two years less a day after being credited for time served.
“This specific investigation involved multiple investigators over several months. Each offence was investigated individually to form one large investigation, which resulted in a guilty plea with a significant punishment,” said Const. James Mason.
