One person is in custody after Mission RCMP responded to a call of a man with a hatchet early Wednesday morning.
On April 17, at about 7 a.m., police received a report of a sighting of man with a hatchet along the Lougheed Highway, near the Hatzic Co-Op Gas Bar.
When police arrived and began their investigation, it was determined to be a domestic dispute between two known homeless people. There is a tent camp located nearby, but it is not clear whether the suspect is from that site.
No one was injured in the incident.
“A hatchet was produced, but not used,” said an RCMP spokesperson.
The investigation is continuing an no charges have been filed at this time.
