Police have released high-resolution video of a group of people they believe are responsible for the slaying of Surrey’s Devon Allaire-Bell earlier this year.

Of particular note is one male in his 20s, dressed in light-coloured clothing with large distinctive writing on the back of the shirt. He is also wearing a white and black ball cap.

Another of the suspects has a unique, marine style hair cut, with the sides and back shaved and only a small amount of hair on top.

The group is believed to have approached Allaire-Bell and a friend a while they were playing soccer at the rear of Frank Hurt Secondary School on April 24.

The men, all believed to be in their late teens or early 20s, got into a verbal altercation with Allaire-Bell and his friend.

A knife was pulled and both soccer players were stabbed, killing 19-year-old Allaire-Bell.

Along with video, police are releasing details about where the suspects are believed to have travelled.

The investigation has determined that the suspects were on foot for an extended time frame prior to the stabbing, walking northbound on King George Boulevard at 64 Avenue at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 24. They continued north on King George Boulevard and walked through the Esso Gas Station parking lot at 72 Avenue.

At approximately 7:50 p.m., they entered the McDonald’s restaurant on 72 Avenue just west King George Boulevard. They then crossed King George to 137 Street and continued to travel northbound on 137 Street in the direction of Frank Hurt Secondary at 13940 77 Ave., where the 911 call was received at 8:36 pm.

Police believe that during the violent altercation, one or more of the suspects may have sustained injuries. Investigators are appealing to anyone who may have knowledge of this incident or have suspicion that someone they know may have had unexplained injuries around the time of the incident, to come forward.

Any information could be helpful in furthering the investigation and bring answers to the grieving Allaire-Bell family, say police.
