Police raided a motel room in Lake Country Friday evening, seizing cocaine, hash and cash.
The Kelowna RCMP Detachment’s Street Enforcement Unit and K9 unit joined forces with the Lake Country RCMP to execute a search warrant on an occupied motel room at the Airport Inn in Lake Country.
Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey says a search of the motel room produced approximately 5.5 ounces of suspected cocaine, one ounce of hash and $4,000 in cash.
“The Lake Country RCMP wish to extend their thanks to the owners and staff of the Airport Inn for their continued assistance with police matters involving their establishment,” adds O’Donaghey, noting that these types of investigations can be challenging.
A 63-year-old Lake Country man was arrested, without incident, and faces potential drug–related charges. He is expected to appear in court on a later date.
A 25-year-old West Kelowna man, seen leaving the motel room, was also arrested and found in possession of illicit drugs, suspected to be cocaine.
He faces potential drug-related charges and is expected to appear in court on a later date.
