Saanich residents are advised that the first aerial spraying treatment, originally scheduled for Monday, May 15, to eradicate invasive gypsy moths from land around Elk Lake and Bear Hill Regional Park is being postponed to allow for optimum weather and operational conditions.
Poor weather can cause treatments to be rescheduled with little advance notice. Up-to-date spraying is available online at: www.gov.bc.ca/gypsymoth and on the toll-free gypsy moth line at 1 866 917-5999.
Members of the public are encouraged to stay informed on spray activities by signing-up for e-mail alerts: http://lists.gov.bc.ca/mailman/listinfo/l_for_gypsymoth.
