Terrace RCMP asked to send the 17-year-old girl to bed

Terrace RCMP responded to approximately 18 calls for service from January 16th, 8 a.m. till January 17th, 8 a.m.

During the same time period, there have been three people lodged in Terrace Cells – one person was lodged for public intoxication.

Downtown Terrace

Stolen vehicle. It was not stolen. The driver had forgotten where he had parked it.

Familial dispute. A person was not letting another person gather her belongings to move out. Police spoke with the people involved and an agreement was reached.

911 call from a cell phone.

Elsewhere Terrace

AWOL 29-year-old man from Mills Memorial Hospital.

Warrant issued for a 38-year-old man for failing to comply with probation.

A grey and black Dakine wallet was lost near the Terrace arena sometime in August.

Intoxicated group of men in A&W. One of the men refused to leave the washroom and attempted to strike a store employee. The men left prior to police arrival. Checks were done of the area.

Theft from an unlocked red 2009 Pontiac G8 parked on Cory Dr. Money was stolen.

Intoxicated man passed out in Mills Memorial Hospital. Police arrested a 43-year-old man for public intoxication.

Erratic driver in a green 2006 Nissan Sentra. Police spoke with the 84-year-old driver and transported him home.

Report of child assault. Unfounded. Police determined that the 14-year-old boy was lying because he was mad at his parents for being grounded.

Possible impaired driver in a GMC Sierra on Graham Ave. Police spoke with the registered owner at their residence. She was sober and trying to avoid potholes.

Familial dispute. A mother wanted to use the computer and her daughter would not get off of it. This led to a wrestling match on the couch over the phone. Police were directed to send the 17-year-old girl to bed, which police do not have authority to do. Everyone was spoken with and a resolution was reached.

A suicidal 17-year-old girl.

A van parked on Eagle Pl .was broken into overnight and a wallet containing various cards and ID was stolen.

Possession of child pornography and luring investigation.

Thornhill

A green Explorer was pulled over on Hwy 37 South. Two men ages 26 and 59 were arrested. An amount of drugs and electronic devices were seized.
