The RCMP, BC Ambulance and Williams Lake Fire Dept. attended the scene of a motor vehicle incident at the intersection at Carson Drive and Highway 97 Tuesday.

A truck travelling southbound on Hwy 97 and an SUV travelling through to Carson from Broadway Ave North on a green light collided, RCMP said.

“The truck had a red light and failed to stop, striking the SUV,” said Sgt. Rick Lebeuf, adding the SUV driver had minor injuries and was treated by ambulance on scene and released.

Both drivers were males. Charges are pending on the driver of the truck for failing to stop for a red light.
