Motorcyclist injured in crash in Brechin neighbourhood

NANAIMO - Minivan and motorcycle collide at Brierley Hill and Maple Street

A motorcyclist was hurt in a crash on a hill in the Brechin neighbourhood on Labour Day.

A Harley Davidson motorcycle and a Dodge minivan were involved in the collision, which happened just before 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 3, at the intersection of Brierley Hill and Maple Stret.

The male motorcycle rider was placed on a stretcher and transported by B.C. Ambulance Service to Nanaimo Regional General Hospital. Nanaimo Fire Rescue said at the scene that the motorcyclist had sustained non-life threatening injuries.

A witness said the motorcyclist was travelling uphill on Maple Street and the minivan was travelling uphill on Brierley when the collision occurred.
