Emergency crews responded to Highway 97 in Summerland after a motorcycle accident early Friday afternoon.

Calls about the incident near Lakeshore Drive in Summerland came in around 12:15 p.m. regarding single vehicle motorcycle accident. The motorcyclist was loaded onto a stretcher and into the ambulance.

It is not currently known the extent of the injuries.
