Motorist in SUV tailgates, throws things at school bus

Terrace RCMP responded to approximately 40 calls for service from October 14th, 8 a.m. till October 15th, 8 a.m.

Terrace RCMP responded to approximately 40 calls for service from October 14th, 8 a.m. till October 15th, 8 a.m.

During the same time period, six people were lodged in Terrace cells – three of these people were lodged for intoxication.

Downtown Terrace

A group of people drinking alcohol in an alley off of Lazelle Ave. Checks of the area were done.

Hit and run in the Staples parking lot. Both of the drivers came forward to speak with police. It was not a hit and run. There was no damage to the vehicles.

Domestic assault at a motel. Police spoke with numerous people. Unsubstantiated.

Belligerent shoplifter at Safeway. Police arrested an adult man. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.

A woman breaking windows on Park Ave. Police spoke with a highly intoxicated woman and were unable to determine what if anything had happened.

Police observed a group of people drinking alcohol in Brolly Square. Some alcohol was dumped out.

Domestic assault in the drive thru of a restaurant on Park Ave. Police were able to track down the people who were involved in a verbal argument. No offence.

A man only in his underwear saying he has a knife lying on the floor of a liquor store on Kalum St. Police conducted checks. Unsubstantiated.

Elsewhere Terrace

Warrants were issued for a 48-year-old man for failing to attend court.

Suspicious vehicle in a parking lot on School St. Checks of the area were done.

A person in breach of a probation order by being at a school. Under investigation.

Assist Lisims Nass Valley RCMP with document service.

Fight at the Park Avenue Medical Clinic. Police spoke with the people involved.

Fraud/theft investigation. Familial dispute.

A woman causing a disturbance at a place on Kalum St. She left prior to police attendance.

False alarm on McConnell Ave.

A Ford Windstar tailgating, throwing items at a school bus, and giving the finger. Police contacted the registered owner.

Nasty Facebook comments. Police gave advice on the matter which included increased Facebook privacy settings.

Theft at a business. Under investigation.

A couple arguing on Olson Ave./Kalum St. Police spoke with a couple. The woman was actually arguing with a person on her cell phone. No issues.

Intoxicated person passed out at a restaurant on Keith Ave. Police escorted the middle aged man out of the building then a short time later arrested him while he was walking on Keith Ave.

Fight at the Copperside at Hwy 16/Kenney St. People were spoken with. It was a consensual fight with no injuries.

Two people being refused entry into a residence on Soucie Ave. Police spoke with the people involved. A resolution was reached. They returned to the residence a short time later to cause more problems. They left prior to police attendance. Checks of the area were done. They returned later in the night yet again. Police transported one person to the Damp Shelter.

False alarm on Hall St.

Abandoned 911 call. Police conducted numerous checks. A person needing police assistance was not located.

An intoxicated and belligerent man causing problems and refusing to leave a restaurant on Keith Ave. He left prior to police attendance. Another call was received when he was causing problems at the liquor store. More checks were done.

Police conducted a check at a residence on Sparks St. A man was arrested for breaching his condition of providing a proper address approved by adult probation. Under investigation.

Intoxicated woman passed out in George Little Park. BC Ambulance transported the woman to Mills Memorial Hospital. She became violent so she was arrested.

Intoxicated person wandering down Tetrault St. Checks of the area were done.

Threats were uttered. A residence was checked and all was secure. A call was received from a concerned neighbour of a suspicious occurrence. It was determined to be the officer that was conducting the perimeter check.

Sexual interference investigation.

A youth was apprehended under the Mental Health Act and transported to Mills Memorial Hospital.

A taxi cab being driven in an erratic manner. Police conducted checks. The cab company was spoken with.

A man walking around a house on Johnstone Rd. and looking into a vehicle. When he noticed he was observed by the homeowner, he left quickly in a grey Mazda.

Separation issues. Police spoke with the people involved.

Rural

Abandoned vehicle on the South Copper River Forest Service Rd. Attempts were made to contact the registered owner.
