A safety bulletin has been issued at Armstrong Elementary School.

RCMP want to identify a motorist alleged to have approached an Armstrong youth.

On Feb. 16, a 10-year-old boy was walking along Wolfenden Terrace at 3 p.m. when he says he was approached by a motorist offering a ride.

“It’s definitely something that concerns us,” said Const. Jocelyn Noseworthy.

“We’d like to talk to the man and figure out what his motivations were.”

The motorist, who was in his 40s and had dark brown hair and glasses, left the scene in a black SUV.

Armstrong Elementary posted a safety bulletin on Facebook and a letter was sent home Monday.

“Please help our students and community by discussing this important safety bulletin with your children,” said said principal Denise Brown in the bulletin.
