Despite the cool wet weather, the 37th annual Mount Pope Run was another success.
Runners form as far as Smithers, B.C. took part.
“The event still continues to draw runners from all over including Prince George and even as far as Alberta,” organizer, Keith Gordon said.
Gordon was excited to bring the participants to the start line and see yet another race begin.
All in all, 20 runners geared up and off they went as Gordon counted down to the start.
Some were seasoned runners and others were exited to take part for the very first time.
Each year, the run begins at Cottonwood Park. Runners and walkers will then proceed to tackle the Mount Pope Trail complete with a spectacular view once they reach the summit.
The $10 participation fee includes a place mat for each participant that includes a collage for all who reach the summit including memorable moments.
