A local man was seriously injured late Monday night while crossing a road in West Kelowna.
At 10:37 p.m. Monday, a pedestrian was struck in the Northbound left lane of Highway 97 at the intersection of Dobbin Road and Brown Road. Police believe that the pedestrian had been struck by the blue Dodge Durango while he attempted to cross Dobbin Road at Brown Road.
“The pedestrian, a 38-year-old West Kelowna man, suffered what police believe to be serious however non-life threatening injuries. He was transported to hospital by BC Ambulance Service for treatment of those injuries,” said Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey, in a press release.
The driver of the Dodge Durango, a North Okanagan man, remained at the scene and cooperated with the police investigation.
