Mounties seek public’s help after vehicle stolen

RCMP are looking into a Jan. 25 theft, after a stolen van was recovered on Cedar Ridge Drive in Sooke.

RCMP are looking into a Jan. 25 theft, after a stolen van was recovered on Cedar Ridge Drive in Sooke.

The vehicle, a 2003 Econoline Van, was stolen from a Sooke School District compound on Access Road.

More than $5,000 worth of equipment was stolen from the vehicle, police said.

Police undertook a forensic examination of the vehicle.

“The police have suspects in this investigation, but are asking for the public’s assistance,” said Sooke RCMP Staff Sgt. Jeff McArthur.
